This page is structured by Swiss freshwater lakes. The intention is to document the animal life in the lakes of Switzerland. All photos were taking with an Olympus E5 camera and different lenses (macro, super-macro and wide-angle).

The Schwebegarnelen are very small animals but they exist in millions. In the spring, you can see them in shallow water down to 12-14 meter.

The Kamberkrebs is a neozoen and does not belong in our lakes in Switzerland. Unfortunately, the population is growing massively every year.

Walensee
The Walensee is a beautiful "blue" water lake in the Alps of Switzerland. The water temperature is usually 1-2 degree celsius colder then the Zürichsee and Lake of Constance.
